Tami Carr has taught kindergarten at Carolina Christian School since 2002. She is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She views teaching at Carolina Christian School as her ministry that allows her to live out her faith freely with all of the children and their families. Dori Pridgen received her degree from Wingate University and has been teaching at Carolina Christian School since 2005. At CCS, she believes teachers are privileged to not only teach, but to teach concepts in their entirety to include the intricate design and planning which God has meticulously given to every concept in education. Christie Allman is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. She has been teaching since 1998 in the Christian school setting. Upon graduating, Miss Allman felt that God called her to work in a Christian school. As a teacher at Carolina Christian School, not only did she feel that it was important to teach children academically, but most importantly that she could disciple them for God's kingdom. In addition she feels that with the obstacles children have to face today that their only hope is through teaching them about Jesus and sharing with them His infallible truth. Donna Harwood has taught at Carolina Christian School since 2002. She holds B.S. degrees from Carson-Newman College and the University of Tennessee. Donna is married to Gary Harwood, the fourth grade teacher, and she enjoys teaching all subjects, but math and history are her favorites. She believes the world devalues children, but CCS follows an alternative vision, that of the kingdom, where God works through smallness to achieve great things. Gary Harwood currently teaches fourth grade at Carolina Christian School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, and is working on a Masters in Education from Covenant College, with specialization in Integrated Curriculum and Instruction. He believes that God providentially led him out of his previous vocation, agriculture, to a place where he can know and interact with these wonderful children, and respond to God's call to teach. Cherry Freda began teaching at Carolina Christian School in 1999.  She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a B.A. in Elementary Education, is National Board Certified, and has attended the Teacher Academy at Elon University. She loves teaching and knows that God has called her to Carolina Christian School to teach and minister to the students and families. David Cochran is a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in History. In the summer of 2007, he followed God's call to Carolina Christian School where he has since taught middle school history and Bible. Jenni Greer teaches English and literature at the middle and high school levels. She graduated from Wingate University with a degree in English and a minor in Spanish.  She is currently working toward a Masters in English Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Jenni believes that Christian education is her chance to empower a new generation with the courage, strength, and knowledge to live out the change needed within the world. Allison Whitley is a graduate of East Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  She has her Masters of Arts in Education/Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix, specializing in mathematics. James Almond graduated from Columbia International University with a Bachelor of Science (magna cum laude) in Bible and in Psychology. He received his Master of Arts degree in Theological Studies from Reformed Theological Seminary in 2005 and is currently pursuing his Master of Divinity degree. Lisa Barbee earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical University of South Carolina.  She enjoys science and is very thankful to be able to teach in an environment that openly acknowledges, worships, and glorifies the Creator. Judy Eddy is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a degree in Mathematics. She joins Carolina Christian School as a veteran teacher with over thirty years of experience in education. As a high school math instructor, she believes that Christian education is essential in teaching children how to respond to the world as well as to prepare them to walk out into it. Bonnie Grigg has been the Physical Education teacher at Carolina Christian School since 2005. She graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Nursing. She loves the interaction with children and views Carolina Christian School as a transformational place filled with grace where students are given a hand to be pulled up when they fall. Teresa Manzewitsch hails from Paraguay, South America, where she was educated at the National Education School. She currently teaches elementary Spanish and believes that Christ must be paramount in all areas of life, especially in what we pass on to our children. Carlos J. Tellez received his Master’s degree in Bible exposition from Pensacola Theological Seminary and has taught Spanish in the high school at Carolina Christian School since 2009. He is a native Spanish speaker from Colombia, South America, and came to the United States in 1995. He is also the pastor of a local church and has a passion to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with as many people as possible. Jessica Almond is currently the elementary Computer and Art teacher. She graduated from Columbia International University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Bible and in Family and Church Education. Jennifer Hall currently oversees the Library program at Carolina Christian School.
