Admissions Dear Parent,
Thank you for inquiring about Carolina Christian School. As you explore the possibilities for the next school year, we hope you will consider joining us. We continually seek families who desire a Christ–centered education for their children and take seriously the challenge of preparing their children to be followers of Christ.
We want you to know that our current parents have struggled with the same decision you are making and that you are not alone. We understand how important education is and how critical the school environment is to the present and future success of your child. Issues such as worldview, curriculum, academic excellence, and safety are essential to your child’s development. We want to help you in any way possible during this process. As you evaluate the options for your child, both Christian and secular, we would enjoy the opportunity to introduce you to our school and to answer any questions you might have about the unique and transformational effect of Christian education. In the meantime, if you would like to explore Carolina Christian School further on your own, visit www.carolinachristianschool.com view our informational video.
In Christ,
Adam Thomas Headmaster
As a member of the Carolina Christian School community, you will experience the advantages of partnering with other families who share similar values, expectations, and dreams for their children as you have for your own. The strength of our school community is realized in the moms, dads, and grandparents who faithfully pray and continually give their time and energies to assist in fulfilling the school’s mission. For parents seeking to be active members of the Carolina family, opportunities abound.
Admissions Policies Students may apply to CCS throughout the year. Kindergarten students will be selected through a process that includes a review of student readiness assessments, teacher evaluations, and a successful interview with the headmaster. For applicants in grades first through twelfth, the process will also include a review of previous school performance. If the initial assessment does not provide a clear understanding of the student’s readiness, Carolina Christian School may require additional testing. Student acceptance and placement is determined by the outcome of the assessment process and class availability. Open enrollment applications will be processed in the order that they are received. Once the available class slots have been filled, students will be placed in a wait pool. Placement in the wait pool does not constitute acceptance, and the order of selection from the wait pool is at the sole discretion of the administration. A student must be accepted before applying for financial aid.
Enrollment Timeline Enrollment opens February 6, 2012, for Carolina Preschool families and current Carolina Christian School families. Open enrollment for Kindergarten begins March 5, 2012, and for all grades begins March 12, 2012.
New Student Application Process New student application packets are available at the school office and on the school website. Each application must be accompanied with a non-refundable $100 application fee and the required documentation before the admissions process can begin. New students will be required to complete a student readiness assessment before acceptance.

Student Readiness Assessments
Student readiness assessments are designed to evaluate readiness and proper grade placement for each child in order to provide each student with the best chance for individual academic success at Carolina Christian School. Currently, two on-site assessment dates are scheduled for April 4th and April 18th. When Carolina Christian School is ready to have your child move forward with the admissions process, they will notify ABC Educational Services. If you have missed the time frame for the on-site testing dates, ABC will call you to set up an appointment to take the screening battery at their Matthews location. Once a decision on admission has been made, your family will receive a copy of the screening results.
