Lesley Crosby
PreK Teacher
Mrs. Crosby holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been teaching our CCS PreK students for the past 8 years and previously taught at Carolina Preschool while staying at home with her two children, Morgan and Matthew. Mrs. Crosby loves teaching at CCS for the relationships formed between her and the students and families.

Jennifer Price
PreK Assistant
Mrs. Price holds an Associates degree in Computer Programming. She began working at Carolina Preschool in 2009 after staying at home to raise her two children. She has been a teacher assistant for 8 years in the Carolina Christian School PreK program. She loves watching the children learn new things and how to do things on their own.

Beth Neal
Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Neal graduated from Wingate University with a Bachelor Of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught Kindergarten and First Grade before staying home to raise her 7 children. She is excited to be a part of the Carolina Christian School family and is looking forward to serving the students and families here.

Katelyn Taylor
Kindergarten Teacher
Mrs. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is excited about joining the Carolina Christian School family and is looking forward to watching students grow both academically and spiritually.

Nicole Coan
Grade 1 Teacher
Mrs. Coan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Child Development; Birth-Kindergarten from Appalachian State University. She is entering her 9th year of teaching. She has taught Kindergarten, Preschool, Second Grade and Toddlers in the past. She has experience teaching in public, private, and charter school settings. Mrs. Coan is excited to teach within a Christian school setting with her faith at the forefront of what she does on a daily basis.

Emily Smith
Grade 2 Teacher
Mrs. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Catawba College and also played softball there. She began teaching in Stanly County Schools, through the lateral entry program, in 2017. She also is the Head Varsity Softball Coach at West Stanly High School. Mrs. Smith lives in Oakboro with her husband, Daniel. She is very excited to join the CCS family and see the students grow spiritually and academically!

Dawn Colravy
Grade 3 Teacher
Mrs. Colravy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Rowan University in Glassboro, NJ. She homeschooled her three oldest children through the 5th grade and has done a substantial amount of substitute teaching in the private and public schools. Since 2016 she has taught 3rd, 5th, and 6th grades at Covenant Christian School in Panama City, FL. Mrs. Colravy's family moved to Locust in July and she is very excited to be a part of the Carolina Christian team.

Jeanette Faulkner
Grade 4 Teacher
Mrs. Faulkner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Gardner Webb University. Her favorite part of being a teacher is watching students grow both academically and spiritually. She loves the sense of family and service to our community that Carolina Christian School promotes.

Cindy Barnes
Grade 5 Teacher
Mrs. Barnes holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from Appalachian State University and a Masters degree in Reading Language and Literacy from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has taught Kindergarten as well as Grades 1 and 3. She worked for the last two years in the Carolina Christian School front office and is now looking forward to getting back into the classroom and teaching as part of the Grade 3-5 team.

Wendy Hammond
Lower School Art/Library Teacher
Mrs. Hammond holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Christian Ministries with a minor in Elementary Education from Belhaven University. She enjoys encouraging creativity in her PreK - Grade 5 Art students and helping her library students find books that pique their interest while also exploring genres they might never have otherwise read.

Faith Aldridge
Lower School P.E. Teacher
Miss Aldridge grew up as a competitive gymnast since she could walk. With a career ending injury that led to a year full of physical therapy and eventual surgery, she found a love of helping individuals of all ages prevent injuries that accompanied her love for sports. Miss Aldridge studied Exercise Science at Coastal Carolina University and ultimately received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Systems Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a certified personal trainer and her goal is to ensure our athletes safety and to create relationships that will teach our youth the valuable lessons they need when their time at CCS is finished.

Becky Daugherty
Lower School Teacher Assistant
Mrs. Kerns has earned her certification in Child Development and Early Education as well as Teacher Effectiveness Training through Stanly Community College. She has served for the past 5 years as Carolina Christian School's Elementary Teacher Assistant. She finds great joy in being part of the educational process and loves watching the students grow academically, physically, and spiritually with each passing year and being a part of the CCS family!

Steven Hammond
After School Care
Mr. Steven is an alumni of CCS and a graduate of Anderson University (SC). He enjoys spending time with younger students and seeks to bring bits of joy to their day. Just as Jesus looked out for children, Steven hopes that others will reach out and do the same.

Kristi Craven
After School Care
Ms. Kristi earned an Early Childhood certificate from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College. She also holds an Associate's degree in Applied Science (Photographic Technology) with a concentration in Photojournalism from Randolph Community College. Ms. Kristi has been a preschool assistant at CCS for two years and is in her first year as a 4 Year Old Lead Teacher, in addition to working with After School Care. She loves working at CCS and loves how she is able to be part of ministering to so many children and their families, and sharing the love of God with them.

Amy Floyd
Custodian
Ms. Floyd holds an Early Childhood certificate from Stanly Community College. She has been a member of the Carolina Christian School staff for 16 years. She spent 13 years as a Preschool Assistant and 3 years as the CCS Custodian. Ms. Floyd enjoys working at CCS because it affords her the opportunity to pray with and share Christ with the students.
