Dress Code and Uniforms

 Preschool students do not wear uniforms. Instead, they should come dressed in comfortable, play-ready clothing that allows for active movement and messy fun—both indoors and outdoors.

Preschool Dress Guidelines:

• Clothes should be suitable for activities involving paint, glue, sand, and water.
• Paint smocks are used, but clothing may still get dirty—please dress accordingly.
• Closed-toe, well-supported shoes are required for safety.
  • Tennis or leather shoes with Velcro or laces are preferred.
  • No flip-flops, Crocs, or sandals without back support.

Uniform Days:

• Monday–Wednesday: Students must wear approved uniforms.
• Thursday–Friday: Students may wear CCS Spirit Wear or continue wearing uniforms.

Uniform Guidelines:

• Tops: Collared shirts in white, navy, light blue, or garnet (maroon); Peter Pan blouses; turtlenecks (white/navy); CCS crest optional
• Bottoms: Navy or khaki pants, capris, shorts, or skorts; jeans only on approved days
• Dresses/Jumpers: Jersey dresses in navy, light blue, or burgundy; jumpers in burgundy, khaki, or navy
• Shoes: Sandals and Crocs must have a back; tennis shoes required on PE days
• Outerwear: Coats do not need to be CCS-approved but cannot be worn in class
• Chapel Days: Solid color collared polo shirts (white, blue, black, or garnet/maroon); no hoodies or t-shirts during Chapel

• Thursday–Friday: CCS Spirit Wear or solid color shirts in approved colors

• Tops: Collared polos, Peter Pan blouses, oxfords, turtlenecks; CCS crest optional
• Bottoms: Navy or khaki pants, capris, shorts, or skorts; 7-inch inseam minimum; no denim or tight-fitting clothing
• Dresses/Jumpers/Skirts: Must meet 7-inch inseam; approved colors and plaid patterns
• Shoes: Socks/tights required with most shoes; sandals/Crocs must have a back
• Outerwear: Approved colors (navy, gray, garnet, light blue); non-CCS outerwear must be removed in class
• Chapel Days: Solid color collared polo shirts required; no hoodies or t-shirts during Chapel

Uniform Philosophy:

While uniforms are not required, students are expected to dress modestly and professionally, reflecting respect for themselves, others, and the learning environment.

General Guidelines:

• No tight, revealing, or body-shape defining clothing
• Jeans must be free of holes and frays
• Leggings are not considered pants and may only be worn under dresses
• Crop tops, plunging necklines, and exposed midsections are not allowed
• Shorts must have a minimum 7-inch inseam
• Athletic wear (sweatpants, joggers, yoga pants, slides) is not permitted during school hours
• Boys must wear shirts at all times
• Hair must be neat and natural in color
• Visible tattoos must be covered
• Boys may not wear earrings; girls may wear earrings or nose studs only
• No hats or bandanas indoors (unless approved for special events)

Chapel Days:

• Business casual attire required
• No hoodies, jackets, or t-shirts during Chapel

Formal Events:

• Dresses must be modest in length and neckline
• Straps required for dancing events

General Standards:

• Shirts must be worn at all times
• Sleeveless shirts allowed only as part of practice uniform
• Shorts must have a minimum 5-inch inseam
• Spandex must be worn under shorts; spandex alone is not permitted
• Undergarments must not be visible
