Emily Barbee
Middle School Science & Social Studies Teacher
Mrs. Barbee hails from Peachland and obtained her Education degree from Wingate University. She has served as a public school teacher, a homeschool educator, school board member, and most recently as an assistant to the secondary principal at an international school in Thailand. Mrs. Barbee encourages independence and confidence in her student's academic studies; moreover, she desires to lead them to serve and lead like Jesus.

Cassie Little
Middle School Math & English Teacher
Mrs. Little holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has taught in both the public and private schools for the last 16 years. For the past 5 years, she has taught Middle School Math at Carolina Christian. She truly has a passion and a heart to see Middle School students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

Charles Hicks Jr.
Middle School Bible Teacher
Mr. Hicks took his baccalaureate degree from Marshall. He completed an Advanced Diploma at Cambridge (UK), where his research topic was a Christian understanding of human creativity. Several of his essays on religion in the arts have been published. In addition to teaching Bible, Mr. Hicks has taught or tutored middle and high school students on a range of subjects. He is married to Stacey and father of five adult children. He aims to model curiosity, enjoyment of the subject, and lifelong learning. .

Rocio Little
Middle School Spanish Teacher
Mrs. Little holds a certificate in ESL from Venezuela (CEVAZ) and an Early Childhood Education certificate from Stanly Community College, in addition to completing 3 years of Mechanical Engineering at University of Zulia in Venezuela (LUZ). Mrs. Little enjoys teaching at CCS because she loves to share her knowledge of her native language and also to put it into practice as a tool to stimulate God's guidance in our kids' lives.

Middle School Art Teacher
Mrs. Carter holds a degree in Art with a concentration in Clay from Montgomery Community College. She has been teaching various forms of art to students of all ages since 2016. Mrs. Carter is excited to be teaching at Carolina Christian School because of the well-roundedness of both core and elective classes offered.

Miss Aldridge grew up as a competitive gymnast since she could walk. With a career ending injury that led to a year full of physical therapy and eventual surgery, she found a love of helping individuals of all ages prevent injuries that accompanied her love for sports. Miss Aldridge studied Exercise Science at Coastal Carolina University and ultimately received a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Systems Management from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a certified personal trainer and her goal is to ensure our athletes safety and to create relationships that will teach our youth the valuable lessons they need when their time at CCS is finished.

Burt Brooks
High School Math Teacher
Mr. Brooks has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has taught HS and MS Math for 10 years in both public and private schools. The past 4 years, he has taught HS Math here at Carolina Christian. Mr. Brooks enjoys the students of CCS and loves teaching them all levels of math and occasionally providing students sweet treats. Mr. Brooks tries to be an encourager to our students in and outside of the classroom.

Angie Stiller
High School Science Teacher
Mrs. Stiller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been teaching for 18 years at various levels and finds great joying in doing so. Mrs. Stiller enjoys teaching at Carolina Christian because it allows her to enjoy her three favorite things: Christ, teenagers, and science.

Elizabeth Gibbs
High School English Teacher
Mrs. Gibbs is a graduate of Wingate University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Reading and Elementary Education. She taught middle school language arts and history, before homeschooling her own children. She and her husband have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. She has a love for teaching and is excited to be back in the classroom, helping students grow academically and spiritually.

Judy Eddy
High School Social Studies Teacher
Mrs. Eddy holds a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has taught for over 35 years with homeschooling five children, teaching in public schools, charter schools, Christian school, and on the mission field in Papua New Guinea. Mrs. Eddy loves being with her family and traveling with her husband, Dave.

Shane Everts
High School Bible Teacher
Mr. Everts received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 1997. He is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity degree through LAMP Theological Seminary. Mr. Everts is excited to share and explore the infallible and inerrant Word of God with the students of CCS, according to the promise that "all Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness" (2 Tim 3:16). Mr Everts is married to his beautiful wife of 18 years, Shelley, and he is the father to Tyler (16) and Hayden (10).

Salatiel Chuc
High School Spanish Teacher
Mr. Chuc graduated in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Theology from San Pablo Seminary in Mexico. He served as pastor at National Presbyterian Church in Mexico and also taught Biblical Greek at San Pablo Seminary for 14 years. Mr. Chuc earned his Masters in Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte in 2017. He believes that Christian Education is God's will for everyone, and teaching at CCS is a great opportunity to teach and lead this generation according to God's heart with guidance of the Holy Spirit.

Katie Carpenter
High School Photography/ Yearbook Teacher
Mrs. Carpenter is a North Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. Jason E. Martin. She holds an Associates degree in Applied Science from Forsyth Technical Community College as well as a Digital Photography certificate from Stanly Community College. Mrs. Carpenter is excited to be part of her students' growth artistically and spiritually.
