Emily Crabtree
Middle School Science & Social Studies Teacher
Mrs. Crabtree hails from Peachland and obtained her Education degree from Wingate University. She has served as a public school teacher, a homeschool educator, school board member, and most recently as an assistant to the secondary principal at an international school in Thailand. Mrs. Crabtree encourages independence and confidence in her student's academic studies; moreover, she desires to lead them to serve and lead like Jesus.

Cassie Little
Middle School Math & English Teacher
Mrs. Little holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has taught in both the public and private schools for the last 14 years. For the past 3 years, she has taught Middle School Math at Carolina Christian. She truly has a passion and a heart to see Middle School students grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

MacKenzie McCarthy
Middle School Math & Study Hall Teacher
Ms. McCarthy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from High Point University. She is currently pursuing a Graduate Certificate through the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been tutoring students in math for the past 7 years. Ms. McCarthy finds great joy in assisting students make connections in their studies and seeing them fully comprehend a new concept.

Trent Thomas
Middle School Bible Teacher
Mr. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from Wingate University. He is completing a Masters of Divinity degree at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. Mr. Thomas has taught Bible at Carolina Christian School for the past 4 years and counts himself privileged to be in a profession where he gets to discuss the Word of God and the things of God with the children of God. He is a father of two wonderful children, Judah and Anna, and the husband to his beautiful wife, Kathryn.

Tim Townsend
Middle School Social Studies Teacher
Mr. Townsend graduated from the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. He additionally completed the Graduate certificate in Teaching program at the University of North Carolina with a focus in Social Studies. Mr. Townsend served four years in the United States Air Force.

Rocio Little
Middle School Spanish Teacher
Mrs. Little holds a certificate in ESL from Venezuela (CEVAZ) and an Early Childhood Education certificate from Stanly Community College, in addition to completing 3 years of Mechanical Engineering at University of Zulia in Venezuela (LUZ). Mrs. Little enjoys teaching at CCS because she loves to share her knowledge of her native language and also to put it into practice as a tool to stimulate God's guidance in our kids' lives.

Brent Gambrell
Middle School P.E. Teacher
Coach Gambrell has over a year of experience working in recreational sports within a Christ-centered community. He is now in his second year directing Carolina Christian's athletic program. Coach Gambrell strives to develop not only students' athletic abilities, but also their relationship with Christ.

Mrs. Carter holds a degree in Art with a concentration in Clay from Montgomery Community College. She has been teaching various forms of art to students of all ages since 2016. Mrs. Carter is excited to be teaching at Carolina Christian School because of the well-roundedness of both core and elective classes offered.

Burt Brooks
High School Math Teacher
Mr. Brooks has a Bachelors of Arts degree in Mathematics from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has taught HS and MS Math for 8 years in both public and private schools. The past 2 years, he has taught HS Math here at Carolina Christian. Mr. Brooks enjoys the students of CCS and loves teaching them all levels of math and occasionally providing students sweet treats. Mr. Brooks tries to be an encourager to our students in and outside of the classroom.

Angie Stiller
High School Science Teacher
Mrs. Stiller holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She has been teaching for 18 years at various levels and finds great joying in doing so. Mrs. Stiller enjoys teaching at Carolina Christian because it allows her to enjoy her three favorite things: Christ, teenagers, and science.

Raegan Thomas
High School English Teacher
Ms. Thomas earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature with Minors in Religion and Creative Writing from High Point University. She became an English teacher to help students improve their reading and writing skills, which aids their communication skills for any environment. Ms. Thomas is passionate about literature, loves the Lord, and desires to teach students about the connection between the two.

Salatiel Chuc
High School Spanish Teacher
Mr. Chuc graduated in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Theology from San Pablo Seminary in Mexico. He served as pastor at National Presbyterian Church in Mexico and also taught Biblical Greek at San Pablo Seminary for 14 years. Mr. Chuc earned his Masters in Divinity degree from Reformed Theological Seminary, Charlotte in 2017. He believes that Christian Education is God's will for everyone, and teaching at CCS is a great opportunity to teach and lead this generation according to God's heart with guidance of the Holy Spirit.

High School Yearbook Teacher
Mrs. Thomas has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religious Studies from Southern Evangelical Bible College. She is starting her fifth year as the yearbook advisor for Carolina Christian. She enjoys incorporating the school's spiritual heritage and character into the memories of the yearbook. She also loves seeing how the students put their own flair into the designs.

Katie Carpenter
High School Photography Teacher
Mrs. Carpenter is a North Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist for Dr. Jason E. Martin. She holds an Associates degree in Applied Science from Forsyth Technical Community College as well as a Digital Photography certificate from Stanly Community College. Mrs. Carpenter is excited to be part of her students' growth artistically and spiritually.​
