Carolina Christian School offers a fun-loving Christian environment to students with the hope that they become life-long learners.  Our Lower School serves students from Pre-K through 5th grade, offering a class structure that is taught from a Biblical world view with a focus on academic excellence.  All Lower School students participate in a variety of enrichment classes, which foster a love for all subjects.

AVERAGE CLASS SIZE:  1:8 (Pre-K) and 1:18 (Grades K-5)

LOWER SCHOOL CURRICULUM:

• All North Carolina state standards are met.

• Strong academic core classes:  Bible, Language Arts, Math, Reading/Literature, Spelling, Social Studies, and Science.

• Heavy Phonics based coursework.

• Cursive writing is taught at the 1st grade level.

• Iowa achievement testing is administered annually.

• Students participate in weekly chapel and daily Bible lessons which provide a strong Biblical foundation and spiritual guidance.
